The real issue with this movie is the terrible pacing and the lack of tension for most of the runtime. It was 10.45 am when the shrooms kicked in But it’s still a fine location and one that’s perfect for portraying an atmosphere of desperation and fear. The location is middle-of-nowhere America which is overused at this point, especially when it comes to stories where some city mouse gets lost in said middle of nowhere only to be hunted down by some crazy redneck country mouse (or in this case, mice). It’s not the fault of the actors they’re all fine in their roles. Review: I wish I could say this one was worth watching, but Rust Creek is as mediocre as a thriller can get. Plot: An overachieving college student gets lost on her way to a job interview and a wrong turn leaves her stranded deep in the Kentucky forest.
